Following the latest restrictions on the hospitality sector, which state that pubs and restaurants must close by 6pm and are unable to serve alcohol, we’ve decided to close our doors until at least 12th December.
In recent months we’ve been jumping between closing our doors, being open for takeaways, and being able to have people in the pub. The effects of all this chopping and changing on us — a small business — have been tiring to say the least, so when it was announced last week that we would need to close by 6pm and wouldn’t be able to serve alcohol, we decided that we needed some breathing space to get our heads around what this meant for our business.
We will be using the coming weeks to make a plan of action, as well as waiting for the further announcement to be made by Welsh Government on 17th December. However, given that packages of support have been put in place to be rolled out to businesses in December and January, we anticipate that we will not see any easing of restrictions this year.
Once we have had some time to consider the best services we can offer our community, we will update you all. In the meantime, we will be taking some time out, however, if you would like gift vouchers, we have these for sale with no expiry date and free UK postage. Make sure you order early in order to get them in good time for Christmas!
Finally, we’d like to say thank you to everyone who has supported us through this time. We are so lucky to know we have this fantastic community right behind us, seeing us through! I’m sure you’ll all join us too in thanking our team of staff who have been absolutely wonderful, making sure everyone is fed and watered and with a smile on their faces throughout.
We wish you all the best for this festive season, and if we don’t see you before, look forward to seeing you again in a brighter New Year.
