Outdoor Opening Update

We’re nearly ready to welcome you back…

We all most thought that the day would never come, but the Welsh Government have finally confirmed that pubs in Wales can open their outside areas from Monday 13th July. While there’s still no date set for indoor opening, we’re working hard to get everything in order to safely welcome you back.

As you’ll probably know, we’ve been keeping ourselves busy doing work behind the scenes, and have decided to wait until Thursday 16th July to re-open so that we can have everything in place that we need to operate safely.

No food service until 16th July

We’re now looking closely at how we will operate, which means we will be halting our takeaway food service until Thursday 16th July. This will give us time to complete the necessary works to our bar and kitchen as well as devise new menus.

New Menus

Jim will be working on our new menus over the next week or so. They will include both takeaway and “eat-in” options (to enjoy in our outside areas). This is all such new territory for us, but we will endeavour to be true to our ethos and offer delicious, unpretentious food made with locally sourced ingredients.

Safety Procedures

As part of re-opening, we will obviously need to take extra precautions and put in place additional procedures to ensure the safety of our staff and customers alike. We will be looking closely at the safest ways to welcome you back, following government guidance and working with the local authority.

Thank you for supporting & bearing with us

This has been such a strange time, and opening up is still going to be very different. You’ve all been so wonderfully supportive, understanding and patient with us while we have adapted our business, and we hope this will continue as we find our way through the next few months. We are all working as hard as we can to ensure we make your customer experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible but we know there may be some lessons to learn and tweaks to make as we go along. Thank you for continuing to offer us your patience, constructive feedback and cheer along the way.
